Is There an Ongoing Severe Avian Influenza Human Infection Outbreak in China? Urgent Response Required

Strategic Findings
● New Evidence is emerging that a particularly severe flu outbreak in China is rampant during this winter season. However, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) may hide critical information regarding what specific flu pathogens are actively spreading. This analysis focuses on the potential outbreak of highly pathogenic avian flu strains human infections, not just the spike of pdmH1N1 strain that the Chinese government stated.
● CCP’s military researchers have been conducting high-risk Gain-of-Function (GoF) studies on avian flu viruses, in particular on H9N2 and H5N6 viruses. And a recent report highlights the unique recombinant H5N6 mutant that has H9N2 core proteins exhibiting enhanced lethality and transmissibility (including aerosol transmission).
● Although this report is focused on H5N6 primarily, the threat of highly pathogenic avian flu leading to human infection in large scale is imminent, whether it is from H5N1, H5N6, H7N9, H3N8, or H2N2 strains, or recombination-derived variants. Decisive and immediate international and domestic responses are required.
